What is IPCentral?
IPCentral is a cloud-based Intellectual Property (IP) management solution.

IPCentral have 20 Process Flow overall.

The process flow is outlined as follows:

Process 1: Inventor submits invention.
1. Inventor log in.
2. Inventor disclosed new invention.
3. Inventor fills in invention details and submit it by save the invention at the lower below the detail form.
4. Invention status will be updated to HoD review.
5. HoD and Admin will be notified via a) E-Mail and b) System notification.

Process 2: HoD approves invention.
1. HoD log in.
2. Navigate to the menu Invention > Details or via Alert icon to view the invention.
3. Submit review.
4. Submit Review as HoD. If “Recommended for Patent” is chosen, invention will be updated to IP Review status. Admin will be notified.
Note: HoD can only see and approve invention within his/her own department.

Process 3: Administrator initiate patent search.
1. Admin log in.
2. View invention and click “Initiate Patent Search".
3. Agent is selected for a particular patent. The agent will be notified.

Process 4: Agent submit Patent Search Results.
1. Agent log in.
2. Submit patent search results. Agent will be redirected to Patentability Report Submission page.
3. Necessary details will be filled in and submitted by save at the bottom of the page.
4. Invention will be updated to Patent Novelty Search Report Submitted. Admin will be notified.

Process 5: Administrator submit for IP Committee Review.
1. Admin log in.
2. The Agent Patent Report can be view before the invention is updated to Committee Review. All committee users will be notified.

Process 6: Committee Submit Review.
1. Committee log in. A notification from admin received.
2. A review will be submitted.

Process 7: Administrator approves and submit for Board review.
1. Admin log in.
2. View invention and update status to Board Review.

Process 8: Board submit review.
1. Board log in.
2. View invention and submit review.
3. Board review will be recorded along with other roles review in review section.

Process 9: Administrator submit reviews for Board.
1. Admin log in.
2. Admin submit review for board members via “Submit Review for User” and save.

Process 10: Administrator approves and request Inventor Information from Inventor
1. Admin log in.
2. Admin approve by clicking “Approve and Request Information from Inventor”.

Process 11: Inventor Submit Inventors’ Information.
1. Inventor log in.
2. Click link to submit inventor information.
3. Inventor will be redirected to Inventor Particulars page. Inventor require to fill in the details in the page before save it at the end of the page.

Process 12: Administrator Approve Invention for Patent Application.
1. Admin log in.
2. Review submitted inventor information.
3. Click Approve this invention for patent application.
4. Invention will be updated into with status of Approved for Patent.

Process 13: Administrator Record Intellectual Property.
1. Admin log in.
2. Admin “Record Intellectual Property”.
3. Admin will be redirected to “Record Intellectual Property” page and appointed the previous agent.
4. Agent will be notified of the Intellectual Property.

Process 14: Discuss.
1. Admin/agent/Inventor log in.
2. They will key in information under discussion tab and click Submit button.

Process 15: Agent Submit Filing Information.
1. Admin/Agent log in.
2. Click Submit Filing Information.
3. Patent will be updated to Pending.

Process 16: Record Office Action.
1. Admin/agent log in.
2. View Invention and click Record Office Action.
3. Select the Action and fill in the required information.
4. IP Current Action will be updated according to Action selected. Admin and Inventor will be notified.

Process 17: Close Office Action.
1. Admin/agent log in.
2. View Inventions and click View Actions Required.
3. Select Action log and click Record Closure. Fill in required details.Closure only made when the action has been required or act upon and Save it.
4. Data will be saved and Action will be closed. IP Current Action will be updated to None.

Process 18: Agent Submit Publication Information.
1. Agent log in.
2.Click Update Status to Pending (Published)
3. IP Status will be updated to Pending (Published).

Process 19: Agent Submit Issuance Information.
1. Agent log in.
2. Click Submit Issuance Information. Fill in required details.
3. IP Status will be updated to Granted.

Process 20: Agent Submit Lapse Information.
1. Agent log in.
2. Click Submit Issuance Information. Fill in required details.
3. IP Status will be updated to Cancelled.
