A repurchase agreement, also known as a repo, is a form of short-term borrowing, mainly in government securities. In this investment module you may record repurchase agreement investment transactions. The overall flow is quite similar to fixed deposit transactions.
1. You can create repurchase agreement investment account by going to Investment > Repurchase Agreement > Add New:
2. Once you clicked “Add New” you will see the following page:
Description:
A | Select the investment account for this repurchase agreement investment. |
B | Fill in the placement letter number received from the bank. |
C | Fill in the certification number received from the bank. |
D | Fill in the terms in days for the investment. |
3. After you have filled in the blanks, you may click “Save” at the top right corner.
4. When you have created repurchase agreement investment account, you can now make transactions.
